Lancaster county – Pennsylvania

You know when you were little and you had a toy farm, with toy cows and a toy barn. But it didn’t look like any farm we had ever seen in real life.

Well, the farms in Lancaster County Pennsylvania look exactly like those toy farms. This is Amish country.

Verity spent one day in a Mennonite school, and although she was very worried about having to wear a veil, it ended up being a progressive school, no school uniforms, very much like Eltham College. The second school she attended for the day – Lancaster Country Day School – ended up being more religious and traditional in values.

  1. How wonderful that Verity got to experience these different schools. A rich and wonderful opportunity. Full credit to her for making the most of this. I hope we get to hear about her insights.
